The first of November!
When NaBloMoPoFoSho starts. Today commemorates the historic day (after the Gregorian calender shift, or something like that) when, due to a massive level of miscommunication, one Guy Faukes was arrested and executed for attempting to release a blog under the Parliament building, thus setting back the cause of social media for centuries. Citizens, to this day, attempt to right this wrong by blowing shit up and wearing creepy masks.
My intention is to write a blog post every day in November, much like I did last year. Alas, unlike last year, I don't really have a huge stockpile of ideas to write about, which most likely mean there will be a disproportionate number of boring posts about politics, economics, and/or history. In addition, I have some events coming up that involve not having access to a computer for large portions of the day, so there may be some technical fouls involved--such as writing two posts after skipping a day, or pre-writing some posts.
Of course, NaBloMoPoFoSho's big sister project, NaNoWriMoGoLowTowDoe,is always on my mind, and yet once again I will not attempt to write a novel. Despite all notions to the contrary, I don't write particularly well or voluminously under pressure, which more or less means I don't write at all. For those who are trying this feat, more power to you.
Anyway, my lack of creativity will probably mean I will drag out some of the things I used to do and haven't done in a while (such as The Pledge). I have picked up a handful of new readers, so those who are so inclined may want to visit this page to get yourself up to speed.
Happy fall and happy November!
